I Travelled Central America on a Motorbike! And There is Much More to Celebrate!

Today is going to be sentimental but I can assure you that there are only good things going on right now.

So the carnival is over… oh boy, Latinos know how to party and if I could compare it to anything else it would be Burning Man or my first, annual university party. I had to travel really fast and skip many things but it was worth it.

And what is even more important, for me Central America ends here. It means I travelled all the countries of its continental part: Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. On a small motorbike and with a little experience. It is good to know that there is still some place for an adventure in this world. Unfortunately I cannot ride my motorbike to Colombia and the only option for my motorbike is to ship it on a boat. I will leave Darien Gap adventure for another time.

It’s a year now since I’m travelling and writing this blog. So that’s a time for celebration… Despite all I mentioned already I also turned 30 last week! And I couldn’t think of a better present for myself than this trip and all what happened on the road. One year, when arrived to Buenos Aires I wrote:

“Some might think that dream came true, but not just yet”.

I forgot about it and I guess I can officially write that the dream is on. It came true, but it doesn’t mean I can stop now. Not yet. Colombia is so close, but I kind of skipped Panama and Costa Rica as well and I still don’t know what my next move is going to be.

DSC03616Panama City, little bit surprised, huh? Next time I’ll take some slums pictures.
