The biggest mystery regarding Mina Discondida is probably its location. Many sources (including official tourist information booths) says that the mine is just 2 kilometers from Puerto Guadal. Then it is more than 5 kilometers up the mountain with a dirt road, so prepare for a long walk or bring a car.
