On Friday I made a day trip from Santiago to Valparaiso. An artsy and hippie town is surrounded by the ocean from one side and many steep hills from the other.
Colorfull and pretty parts of the city stand in contradiction to poor ones. One might not be able to count all missing windows and homeless dogs.
There is art and music on every corner. You pass some craft artist listening to Jimi Hendrix. Then, in a lunch time, you buy empanadas and listen to always up to date Lou Reed. On the other corner, street stand with vegetables and fruits plays ¨Crossby, Stills, Nash & Young¨. And then, in some art gallery you can hear songs from some early ¨The Beatles¨ album.
